Pricing & weight
What goes into a dumpster rental price?
A starting rental price is useful, but the total depends on the service and the load. Understand these parts of the quote before choosing a dumpster for your project.

The base rental covers the container and rental period
Oregon Recycling’s standard dumpster rentals include 4 days, delivery and pickup, and driveway protection. The company also states there are no separate mileage or credit-card fees for these rentals. Compare the current sizes and prices in the rental cards below.
Those base rentals do not include disposal weight. Keep that distinction in mind when comparing quotes: a lower base price is not necessarily a lower total if the other quote includes a different weight allowance or rental period.
Disposal weight is a separate part of the bill
The published disposal rate is $172 per 2,000 lbs for standard rentals and Load n’ Go, with no weight included in either base price. A full-looking container and a heavy container are not necessarily the same thing. Describe the materials, especially dense debris, before estimating the total.
Ask how the measured weight will appear on the bill and whether minimums, billing increments, or special-material charges apply to your project. The published rate alone does not explain those details. Avoid assuming a specific pro-rata calculation until the team confirms it.
Additional days depend on the size
Each standard dumpster size has its own additional-day rate. If your project is likely to run longer than 4 days, include that time when comparing options. Contact the company about the pickup arrangement and any rental lasting a week or longer.
A requested extension should be discussed before your scheduled pickup. Do not assume the container can remain for any length of time without coordinating with the team.
Bag service and Load n’ Go use different terms
The dumpster bag has an unlimited published rental period and includes one ton. Weight above that allowance is charged at the published extra-weight rate. Its price should not be compared as though it has the same size, loading arrangement, or included weight as a roll-off rental.
Load n’ Go supplies a 20-yard dumpster while the truck waits for up to one hour of customer loading. Its base price includes no disposal weight. Confirm what happens if the loading plan changes or an hour is not enough.
Ask for the assumptions behind your quote
The most useful estimate starts with the material list, the likely quantity, your project address, and the rental dates. If any of those change, let the team know. A quote should make the scope clear rather than leave you guessing what is included.
- Which container or service is being quoted?
- How many days or how much loading time is included?
- What weight, if any, is included?
- How are additional weight and special materials billed?
- What changes if the rental needs to be extended?
